THE
WAY
OF
LOVE

Becoming what we have received

 

So what does all of this actually mean for the way we live?

 

If we have received self-giving love, we become people who learn to give ourselves away.

 

Not to earn God’s love.

 

But because we already have it.

 

Forgiveness.

 

Mercy.

 

Generosity.

 

Hospitality.

 

Truth.

 

Justice.

 

Reconciliation.

 

Compassion.

 

Peacemaking.

 

Love of neighbour.

 

Love of enemy.

 

The Gospel becomes more than something we believe.

 

It becomes something we embody.

 

The way of Jesus becomes our way.

 

The way of the Lamb becomes our way.

 

And slowly, beautifully, we begin to resemble the One we have come to know.
