The rupture of communion

But something fractured.

Humanity turned away from the Source of Life.

Scripture calls this sin.

It is a turning of the heart — a rupture in relationship and a distortion of what we were created to be.

And with separation came fear, shame, accusation, violence and ultimately death.

We hide.

We blame.

We protect ourselves.

We grasp for control.

The communion for which we were created becomes fractured.

Yet even here, God does not walk away.

The story of Scripture becomes the story of God coming after humanity.

Not with abandonment.

But with love.
