COMMUNION
“Take and eat; this is my body.”
— Matthew 26:26
Life given. Life received.
Jesus does something extraordinary.
He doesn’t simply say:
“Remember Me.”
He says:
“Take and eat.”
“Take and drink.”
Communion is remembrance, but it is more than remembrance.
It is participation.
We receive the bread.
We receive the cup.
We receive the sign of a life freely given.
The One who gives Himself to us invites us to receive His life.
His life given.
His life received.
And so the table becomes a place of communion — with Christ and with one another.
We are not merely spectators of the Gospel.
We are invited into it.
To abide.
To receive.
To become.
