RESSURECTION

“He is not here; he has risen, just as he said.”

Death does not have the final word

The tomb is empty.

Jesus is alive.

The resurrection is not simply proof that Jesus survived death.

It is the announcement that death itself has been defeated.

Something new has begun.

The future has entered the present.

New creation has already begun in Christ.

The resurrection tells us that God’s answer to the brokenness of creation is not abandonment.

It is restoration.

God is making all things new.

And because Jesus lives, our hope is not ultimately found in escaping creation, but in its renewal.

Life wins.

Love wins.

Christ wins.

And death does not get the final word.
