All things made new

 

Where is this story going?

 

Not simply to an escape from earth.

 

Not simply to somewhere else.

 

The great biblical hope is new creation.

 

God is making all things new.

 

What was broken will be restored.

 

What was lost will be found.

 

What was divided will be reconciled.

 

Death will be no more.

 

The story that began in a garden ends with creation renewed and God dwelling with humanity.

 

And we are invited to live now as people of that coming reality.

 

To become signs of the Kingdom.

 

To carry hope into dark places.

 

To make room for the lonely.

 

To pursue reconciliation.

 

To care for creation.

 

To love generously.

 

To live differently because we know where the story is going.

 

The beginning was communion.

 

The rupture was not the end.

 

Love came near.

 

Love gave itself.

 

Love entered death.

 

Love rose again.

 

Love came to dwell within us.

 

And love is leading all things towards home.

 

This is the journey.

 

This is the invitation.

 

Come.

 

Explore.

 

Question.

 

Wonder.

 

Receive.

 

And above all—

 

Know God.
