KNOWING GOD
The Father — Source of Life, Abba of Love
Jesus reveals God first as Father — not distant or unknowable, but Abba: the intimate name of belonging.
The Father is the source of all life, the Creator of all things, and the wellspring from which love flows.
“From Him and through Him and to Him are all things.”
Romans 11:36
Humanity was created to live in loving communion with God — to receive His life, reflect His goodness, and walk with Him.
Trust was broken.
Humanity turned away.
Yet the Father’s heart never turned away from us.
From the very beginning, His love has always been reaching, always seeking, always calling His children home.
“For God so loved the world that He gave His one and only Son…”
John 3:16

Jesus — The Perfect Revelation of the Father
Jesus is not merely a teacher, a prophet, or a moral example.
He is the eternal Word made flesh.
“The Word became flesh and made His dwelling among us.”
John 1:14
If we want to know what God is like, we look to Jesus.
His compassion reveals the Father’s compassion.
His mercy reveals the Father’s mercy.
His forgiveness reveals the Father’s forgiveness.
His kindness reveals the Father’s kindness.
His life reveals the Father’s heart.
“Whoever has seen Me has seen the Father.”
John 14:9
In Christ we encounter holiness without distance, truth without condemnation, strength expressed through humility, and love without limit.
He entered fully into our humanity, sharing our joys, our sorrows, our weakness and our suffering, so that nothing in our lives would remain untouched by God’s redeeming love.
His whole life became an invitation back into communion with the Father.

The Cross — Love That Goes All the Way
The Cross is the fullest revelation of self-giving love.
Here we see the Father giving.
The Son freely giving Himself.
The Spirit sustaining the work of redemption.
“God was in Christ reconciling the world to Himself.”
2 Corinthians 5:19
In Jesus, God entered the depths of human brokenness.
He bore the violence of our fallen world.
He absorbed hatred without returning hatred.
He met evil with forgiveness.
He entered death itself and, through love, overcame it.
Nothing could extinguish divine love.
Nothing could separate humanity from the Father’s desire to restore His children.
The Cross is where love goes all the way.
“It is finished.”
John 19:30
Jesus is not simply the One who shows us the way.
He is the Way.
“I am the way and the truth and the life. No one comes to the Father except through Me.”
John 14:6
This is not the closing of a door.
It is the opening of one.
The Father’s invitation has always been love.
Jesus is that invitation made visible.

The Resurrection — Life Restored
Love proved stronger than death.
Jesus rose from the grave, overcoming sin, death and every power that holds humanity captive.
The resurrection is God’s declaration that darkness will never have the final word.
In Christ, new creation has already begun.
We are invited not merely to believe in resurrection, but to live its life now.

The Holy Spirit — God Within Us
The story continues through the Holy Spirit.
Not an impersonal force, but the living presence of God dwelling within His people.
“He lives with you and will be in you.”
John 14:17
The Spirit awakens us to the Father’s love.
He forms Christ within us.
He renews our minds, heals our hearts, strengthens our weakness and gently teaches us to live from the life of God.
“Where the Spirit of the Lord is, there is freedom.”
2 Corinthians 3:17
The Christian life is not striving to reach God.
It is learning to live from the God who has already come near.

One God — Eternal Love
The Trinity is one God — Father, Son and Holy Spirit — eternally united in perfect love.
Creation begins in love.
Redemption flows from love.
Our future is love fulfilled.
The Christian life is more than believing certain truths.
It is participation in the life of the Trinity.
A life of communion.
A life of belonging.
A life of grace.
“Hear, O Israel: The Lord our God, the Lord is one.”
Deuteronomy 6:4

A Way of Love
Jesus gathered the whole of life into two commands:
“Love the Lord your God with all your heart and with all your soul and with all your mind and with all your strength… and love your neighbour as yourself.”
Mark 12:30–31
The more deeply we receive the Father’s love, the more naturally it overflows into every part of life.
The Christian life is not ultimately about striving.
It is about receiving.
Receiving the love of God.
Believing the love God has for us.
Allowing that love to transform us from within.
“We have come to know and to believe the love that God has for us. God is love.”
1 John 4:16
As we abide in Him, His life becomes our life.
His peace becomes our peace.
His love becomes our way of living.
